PROMARKERS MONTHLY CHALLENGE - the animals came in 2 by 2 -to wish you a happy birthday

I have been really busy today , i've mamaged to make loads of cards - here's my final one . it is for the monthly challenge for promarkers (click on the link on the left).
i had coloured and layered the image a week or so ago and couldnt think how to use it , then when i saw the sketch for this challenge i knew immediately . The image is a dustin pike download and of course it is coloured with promarkers - loads of colours but i cant remember which !

WILLOW SKETCHIE CHALLENGE

I found a really fab challenge blog . http://www.willowsketchiechallenge.blogspot.com/ here is mine for this weeks challenge which was to use a sketch and one of their downloads .I used the newest release from them - "dear santa"
click on the link on the left to go directly to the blog .x
ps- sorry for the crooked picture it looks as if i ve been on the mulled wine already !

Polkadoodle challenge #9

I have just had a really horrible week , firstly hubby had to be rushed into hospital for an emergency op on his eye (detatched retina ) and i had to drive him the 95 mile round trip to get him there - twice because there were no beds available .
Then whilst he was in there i got caught in an electrical storm which damaged my phone line , blew up my router and tv aerials and left me totally incommunicado , Thank fully i was only without the computer for about 4 days , but boy did it seem longer !
Hubby is fine and back home but he's driving me up the wall so i cant wait for him to go back to work so that i can get on with my card making in peace !
oh and school holidays have started - need i say more !!! i love them all really (honest )
Anyway here's my effort for this week's Polkadoodle challenge i sort of used the sketch it was optional but the strips at the bottom reminded me of a skyline so thats what i decided to go for

Ooh la la

This one is for the new challenge for followers of the passion for promarkers group on Facebook. There is a lovely sketch to follow and you get to choose your own image ,you just have to colour it with promarkers . My girly is from Dotties world again - i just love these images -they remind me of dolls i had as a child

Ruby is 1 -fold out card

This is the first one of these that 'i ve made in a while - just as well really they take ages !. i do like them though , they are always well received . the instructions for these cards are on here somewhere (under fold out cards )

FOR YOU

I was nt really sure what sort of occasion this one could be used for , so i used a " for you " so that it can be for anything . i really like the image and love the sepia tones that had been used for the image on charmed crafts blog, so i took my inspirations from that http://charmedcrafts.blogspot.com/

DOTTIES WORLD CHALLENGE

This is my first entry for Dotties world challenge - this week is any thing with a French theme , so here is my little "MERCI " card. iI used one of the digital downloads from their blog shop.pop along and have a look at the gorgeous cards the design team have made at
http://dotties-wonderful-world.blogspot.com/

Polkadoodles challenge no 7

I think i'm going to give this one to myself , i have had such a bad headache for 2 days now , so i need to cheer myself up !
I used little lulu for the bug and my alternative to ribbon is spiral wire which is in the centre of the flowers for stamens (its a bit difficult to see ) all the elements for this card are from the polkadoodles sugar birdies cd .Quite a simple card - but i have got a bad head :0)

it must be love

I like these cute little "chogs " as they are known in our house .I wanted to keep them as the main feature on the card so i kept the whole thing very simple . The love is cut from beyond birthdays cart and the little quote at the bottom is a rub on .
I will be sending this one to my Dad and step mum for their wedding anniversary next month . The "chogs" are from lilyboos boutique

Another one for lilyboo

This one is from the More girls collection. she is coloured with promarkers and mounted on a nesties scallop circle. The background paper was a freebie in papercraft essentials magazine.
I cut the shooting star charms from thick aluminium foil ( the inner seal from a tin of coffeemate !). i used a couple of sizzix dies for these- pigeon toed charms and original stars.

A couple for lily boos inspiration blog

The inspiration blog is starting to look really good but needed more of our work to show off . I made both of these from the Christmas corners set, although i did cut the edges off because i didnt get the size right to fit on the front panel without a gap .
the snowman was really quick to colour thanks to all that snow !just a little shading with a grey promarker and a colourful hat - oh and the carrot nose .

Elephant card

I simply had to have the digistamps that Enfys told us about this morning and this elephant is one of my favourites in the collection . i cut a panel and embossed it in the cuttlebug birthday folder and mounted it on a self coloured background , stenciled the stitched border around the edge, used some die cut balloons and tied them to the ellie with some curly wire

This one is for lilyboo's boutique

I had nt used any of lilyboo's designs in a while so opted to make a boy card for a change , This one is from the Boys toys collection. These designs are so easy to work with and cut out (if you want to cut them out that is ). I used Kay Miller downloads for the background paper and elements .This set is called kickin 'it . He is coloured with promarkers and mounted on foam pads for dimension

Cherry magnolia and Denise's 40 th

I had virtually a day to myself after housework and shopping and still only managed to make two cards . I had another of my little people cards to do for my friend at work and she wanted it to be very similar to vicki's 30 th one , another girl holding a huge glass of wine ! I think her friends all seem to be alcoholics !. The other one started off as a challenge card for the uk crafters thread and for polkadoodles - i shall have to go back and check the rules but i think i needed a hidden element for the polkadoodles one ???? oh well i guess i wont win again this week !
i DID NT MENTION THAT I WON IT LAST WEEK :0) thats the 2 nd time woohoo !

uk crafters challenge

This is my challenge card for the uk crafters thread on the cricut message board , We had to use dry embossing of some sort so i used one of my (never used ) fiskars embossing plates . I found out with a bit of jiggling plates and shims , that it would work in my bigshot ! I would never have even tried them if it had nt been for this challenge . I knew immediately which one to use ,because i ve had this spider image in my head for the last few days - I love him !- it's one of Sam's creepy crawlie circles - so the web was just perfect for it . I rubbed over with a silver ink pad to make the embossing stand out . I also added black card candy which i also rubbed with the inkpad to make them look like metal studs . the message and the border are cuttlebug embossing folders .
