Distressed !

That is how  I felt when I saw what our challenge was going to be this week at I ♥ promarkers .I don't usually do distressing on my cards   I usually go for the neater style . My work space is messy enough without me adding to it .I ended up with ink splodges,torn up paper pieces and the dust from the roughed up bits every where !

The challenge is sponsored by Joanna sheen so you could win £10 to spend at her online store .I chose this gorgeous Mo Manning  bunny 'cos he knows exactly how I was feeling - the poor guy looks like he is going to burst into tears any second .
The heart charm is made by stamping the image onto card , cutting away the inside filigree parts and then triple embossing  with gold powder . I made it ages ago and did nt have a use for it   until now .

Paper pieced projects

These first two are for the same person so i had to keep them different , i have used the same colours so that they still work well together . The other one is not for anybody in particular ,i just liked it . I added stars with  a holographic foiling sheet and glue pen . I have left a space in the top corner  for a name or greeting later on .

 All of these are made with paper piecing templates from my scrap chick, i love them  they are really easy to use as they are available as svg files so i can cut them on my cricut with SCAL .

Polkadoodles -Alter it challenge

I know , it was a box and now its a....box !
It was a rather fetching detergent tablet box and now it is a home for my cute little fairy flutterfly stamps . I used my favourite polkadoodles cd for the background papers , the fairy flutterflys and flowers made from the newest cd " All around and everywhere "

NEW HOME

 This is for my best friends - love ya loads so i know you wont mind me saying that the froggies look just like you !HE HE HE !
 I used paisley cart to cut these little guys , the lily pad was  my own design  as i could nt find one - thank goodness for my gypsy !

sorry I ve been awol !

 What a week ! it has been absolutely crazy here , I ve redecorated the front room , been up to my eyeballs in card orders (im not complaining ) and a couple of full days at work - i''m really not used to those -lol ,so now i'm knackered !

Ive had baby Sam a few times too , he's just at the stage where he's just about to laugh - he has the biggest smile and the sound is  trying really hard to get there - any day now he will have mastered it  and theres nothing more enjoyable than listening to a baby laugh , I cant wait it will be a  real tonic.

As i have been so busy i did nt get round to my DT cards  but i did  manage to do these two New home cards , one in my new fave style card- the side step   I used some of my old Sizzix dies for the house , tree and grass  and paperdolls for the girl and her baby .
For the other one i dusted off the old cricut  , I needed a thatched cottage  and found one on the disney Happily ever after cart .The family i cut from paper dolls and the various animals from animal kingdom and campout .
The words i used SCAL2  for ,I love this program for cutting words it just makes it so easy and you can cut in any font you have installed -and i have hundreds lol- its much cheaper than carts

FOR YOU

I was nt really sure what sort of occasion this one could be used for , so i used a " for you " so that it can be for anything . i really like the image and love the sepia tones that had been used for the image on charmed crafts blog, so i took my inspirations from that http://charmedcrafts.blogspot.com/

A few of my little people cards

These were all special orders from my friends at work for various people . I am usually given a rough description of the person and am told what they are meant to be doing on the card . hence some of them appear to be doing some very random things . I am told thats what makes these cards so popular as they can be tailored to meet specific needs - who am i to argue !

Tilda Birthday and a Holy communion

I went back to work after 5 weeks off and had to spend about an hour going through loads of useless emails in our internal mail only intranet site. I had missed so many orders for cards it is unbelievable . i felt so bad that i had let so many people down as these people had nt got a reply from me for their orders. Thankfully they have all forgiven me on condition that i get on and make their cards immediately !
Here are the first couple . i have nt taken pictures of the rest yet so they will have to follow

WEDDING DAY

This one is a commission for a friend of a friends's friend ! She wanted something nice and romantic looking in lilac and silver . i used wedding cart for the bride , groom and large heart and my favourite sizzix strip die -"swirly" .The tiny little hearts are from a cuttlebug paisley design . Name label is computer generated and mounted using my nesties .

My own design

oriental card

I made this one to cheer myself up - I had been feeling a bit down lately, i'slipped a disc and was bed bound for a few days and then i had a few family troubles and did nt feel like making cards . todays sunny spells cheered me a bit so i made this .
I used happily ever after cart for the background cherry blossom shape . i used 3d foam on some of the flowers to lift the design . i designed the kimono myself and her hair is just a circle with a bit cut out . her head is from paperdolls and it is finished with peel off corners . i dont usually like peel offs but i had these in my box and i thought they suited the design .

3d flower card

i have been asked to make lots of mothers day cards this year,-they are'nt all for my mum !

this one is made using a bigz die -daisy#3 i finished it off with some flat back pearls which i coloured in with permanent markers

i have a new favourite cut !- it is the teddy from the christmas solutions cart. I had forgotten he was on there until Jeannie phillips posted a card she had made using it on the cricut message board so thanks Jeannie ! x x x

i made this for my mum, she has to start chemotherapy tomorrow so i wanted to let her know that i will be thinking of her x

PAPER PUPS CARD

This is a leaving card for one of my work mates i used paper pups cart and sizzix dies . the paper was a freebie in a new mag and i must say i was impressed with the quality of the freebies and the mag ! the mag is calledd creative cardmaking .
