A new baby

I bought this cut file  just after my grandson was born , I'd already made the card for him so have been waiting patiently for the chance to use it - I just love that little baby elephant it is sooooo cute - I got it from myscrapchick

I used the snowmen which were part of the christmas assortment , i used my cuttlebug to emboss the background panels , the trees are a sizzix die  and the snowflake a concoction of different die cuts all on top of each other .

I♥PROMARKERS Transport challenge

Morning all - I nearly forgot about posting this one , i thought I'd scheduled it but had n't .
This weeks challenge at I ♥ Promarkers is Transport , we don't mind what sort  its up to you !

I have used this cute teddy image from Lili of the valley , The background is  embossed in a sizzix embossing folder -I think its a Tim Holtz one  and i rubbed over it with two different inks .

I♥PROMARKERS challenge - MYTH AND MAGIC

Firstly an apology from me ,as I have been absent from blogging , crafting and commenting on your cards for the last week. My brother in law has been seriously ill in hospital  and i  have nt been able to craft as much as i would have liked to , when i had the time my mind was elsewhere . He is making slow improvements so i may be back in full swing really soon .

I♥PROMARKERS challenge 28

Well this weeks challenge at I ♥ Promarkers  has been set by me .I chose a Seaside theme as I should have been  at the seaside on the Isle of Wight this week but due to some personal issues we had to cancel it . :(
  I was nt really thinking about what image i would use when I set the challenge ,so it turned out to be quite a challenge for me too !
After much searching I found this gorgeous image by Mo Manning .I have had it a while and probably only used it once .I used a digital scrapbooking kit to design the background  and I cut out a couple of layers of the embellishments to decoupage them ,adding a bit of glossy accents to give them depth and shine .

My first tutorial

 I have done a little tutorial on  " cutting outside the frame" using nesties .It has been published on a fantastic new craft blog called "Craft mad and loving it !" , You can find loads of fab tutorials and product reviews on here it is definitely worth a look .
It was my first ever tutorial and i'm quite pleased with how it turned out - let me know what you think I 'd appreciate your feedback - Thanks x

I♥ promarkers #26 sketch and colour theme

This week's challenge at I ♥ promarkers is a sketch and a maximum of 3 colours (+ flesh if using people )

Here is mine , I used fairy flora by Mo Manning with   papers that were  a magazine gift . I used my Martha punches for the ribbon borders

About time too Del !

 My beautiful grandson Del  was finally born this morning after a marathon 39 hour labour ,  He decided to take the long scenic route , got a bit lost and then came out facing the wrong way round , he even managed to tie his umbilical cord in a knot !
He caused his poor mummy a lot of problems throughout the pregnancy, with sickness  everyday , he was a small bump and there were concerns that he was not growing properly - well he came out as a very hefty 7 lbs 13 1/2 oz so definitely not small !
He has got a lot of bruising to his beautiful face and  his head is a gorgeous shade of purple .
I made his card as a keepsake so have put a photo of him on it .
My lucky blog followers get to see him first as his parents don't want any photo's put on facebook just yet

A couple of stepper cards

 Here s two i've been working on this week , one using my favourite Tilda and the other using a download i'd had for ages and never used . Both are coloured with promarkers and the princess castle is coloured with the new Aquamarkers  from letraset .
 The lettering  on both is cut using Scal on my cricut

Happy Birthday Hannah !

Today is my daughter's birthday and we celebrated it by spending it sitting in the ante natal dept of the local hospital .Her first  baby is due today and it has been a rather difficult pregnancy for her , her visits to the midwife have been aplenty as the baby is not growing as well as he should be . After another monitoring  and measuring session , they sent her home . Much to her relief - she has said all along that she did nt want to have him on  her birthday as thats her day !

Here is the card i made for her- so that it will encourage her to get her figure back - not that it will take long thanks to the small bump !

I made the template myself , the lace is a Martha steward punch and the Tattoo is a rub on

I♥PROMARKERS challenge 24 - Buttons

Morning all , I know two posts in less than 24 hours - what am I like ?
This is for the I ♥ PROMARKERS  challenge . This week we want to see some buttons on your project ,so get raiding your stash !
I had planned this card with the intention of using some gorgeous antique style,  heart shaped pewter buttons but of course i can't remember where i have put them !
Luckily i had enough mirri board left after cutting the swirls to cut some buttons using my sizzlits die .I wish i knew where those buttons were though - they match the background paper a treat .

For some unknown reason i have had some problems leaving comments on blogs , i have even had trouble posting anything on my own one .I can type the message in the box and then it tells me there was an error and does nt post it - grrrrr
I   have been looking at all of your entries  for the i ♥ promarkers challenge and they are all fantastic.This week we have a theme and a sketch for you to follow ,we want to see your creations with dogs on

Distressed !

That is how  I felt when I saw what our challenge was going to be this week at I ♥ promarkers .I don't usually do distressing on my cards   I usually go for the neater style . My work space is messy enough without me adding to it .I ended up with ink splodges,torn up paper pieces and the dust from the roughed up bits every where !

The challenge is sponsored by Joanna sheen so you could win £10 to spend at her online store .I chose this gorgeous Mo Manning  bunny 'cos he knows exactly how I was feeling - the poor guy looks like he is going to burst into tears any second .
The heart charm is made by stamping the image onto card , cutting away the inside filigree parts and then triple embossing  with gold powder . I made it ages ago and did nt have a use for it   until now .

Sam's Christening card

This is for my darling little grandson , it is his Christening day on Sunday ,   I can't believe that he is six months old next week  the time has really flown by .
I will post christening pictures next week .

My new craft room

Well here it is - at last
My very own purpose built craft room . I started off years ago on the dining table , then progressed to a corner of the bedroom .We decided that i should have a separate room for crafty stuff so we had a conservatory built , not a huge one just perfect for me .
Then in January my daughter left home so i moved into her bedroom and made the conservatory into the dining room.Great i thought , nice big room to work in - however my 8 yr old daughter had other ideas she wanted the big room .I said there was no way my two desks would fit in there - its a tiny box room .I said i would only have it if it was all fitted out with worktops and shelving
Wish granted ! - i did nt know that I would be the one who would be fitting them ! - silly me should have realised i do everything else around here !
anyway it took me best part of a week to do  and here it is . .. . .. . . . . .

For some strange reason the colour of the roses on the cake have nt come out the same as they look in real life , infact i dont know what has happened to the colours altogether in this picture . The flowers and the background should look like a cerise pink but they look more orangey  - so im not very happy with this one at all . i could nt get another photo as it had to get sent off to reach the recipients in time for the wedding which was last weekend .
