Polkadoodles -Alter it challenge

I know , it was a box and now its a....box !
It was a rather fetching detergent tablet box and now it is a home for my cute little fairy flutterfly stamps . I used my favourite polkadoodles cd for the background papers , the fairy flutterflys and flowers made from the newest cd " All around and everywhere "

 I was totally gobsmacked this week when Karen from I ♥ ProMarkers  contacted me and asked if i would like to join them as a design team member on a full time basis , I did n't have to think long to make up my mind .


I am a bit nervous about it but my 3 weeks as guest designer has obviously helped .

polkadoodles challenge 16

This gorgeous fairy- Gracie , and some of her friends have landed at polkadoodles and i could nt wait to use them.
Our challenge for you this week is to make your project in monochrome, i have gone for orange as i love this background paper which is from sugar birdies cd, it matches perfectly with one of the stamps in the set.Gracie's wings are a separate stamp in the form of a beautiful butterfly which I stamped onto heavyweight acetate and folded to raise Gracie off the frame .

I♥PROMARKERS challenge 11

This week at I♥PROMARKERS we (I'm still GDT) want you to use black and white with just one other colour . I have chosen to use this gorgeous fairy stamp - yes a real stamp and not a digi !  its new at polkadoodles , the fairy  comes in two parts so you can use her without the wings if you want to and then you also have a gorgeous butterfly to use elsewhere .

Polkadoodles -Animal Challenge

This weeks challenge at Polkadoodles is to make something with an animal on it .I had to make a card for my boss  for her 50 th birthday from all of us at work .She is a massive horse fan and has a horse called  Willie .
She likes to joke that she is going to ride her willie all weekend !

I  have used BTN for the  card , printing it at A4 , the rosette is made from papers on the cd ,cut out with Nesties .I had to add one of my little people the rest of them at work would n't have forgiven me if I had n't included her .

Here is my first card for my  I♥ promarkers challenge.

I have followed the sketch and used this gorgeous whimsy stamp image .

The image reminded me so much of my  cat Ted who has decided to move in with our next door neighbours, He is adorable and i miss him loads , i just catch the occasional glimpse of him crossing our fence, cats are not faithful animals are they ?

I LOVE PROMARKERS CHALLENGE~9

Her is my entry for the " i love promarkers challenge ", I start my first GDT entries next week  so i wanted to have a go before my Mojo disappears like it always does just when I need it  !
 The theme for this week's challenge is to include an animal , and i just fell in love with this elephant image  and i needed a card for a little girl i know who loves elephants

Polkadoodles challenge # 14

Kerry had asked us all to make a wedding card for her  polkadoodles challenge this week . I have used this cute couple from the love and cherish cd ,  i used papers from  back to nature although the colour is slightly different to how it is on the cd since my printer still has a mind of its own ! I rather liked how it came out . i even added a bit of stamping to this one using  polkadoodles stamps  -( the little spray bits behind the flowers) and they are not blurry !

I was thrilled to discover that my vintage style wedding card was chosen for the very first  top3 over at
I love promarkers  , but that's not all - I have also been asked to be the guest designer for the rest of April 

  

I LOVE PROMARKERS CHALLENGE

 I have had to make two entirely different wedding cards for the same couple , after making the first one as a side step card I found myself rather lacking in inspiration, so I had another bit of chocolate and browsed through some blogs for challenges . As I am a big fan of

I decided to follow the sketch they have for this week's challenge .
The bride will be having a cream bouquet so i  thought a sepia theme would suit this picture from Mo Manning

Happy birthday Ruth !

 It is Ruth , one of my Polkadoodle teamies' birthday next week - so the challenge we have set you is to make a birthday card .I just love the look of these scrummy cakes on the love and cherish cd so i teamed it up with the equally delicious cherry papers  on the sugar birdies  disc .
I  was very brave and added some stamping - not something i like to do .If you look close you will see why .
Yes I managed to blurr it !

NEW HOME

 This is for my best friends - love ya loads so i know you wont mind me saying that the froggies look just like you !HE HE HE !
 I used paisley cart to cut these little guys , the lily pad was  my own design  as i could nt find one - thank goodness for my gypsy !

Princess Lily ,

I made this one using Paperdoll dress up , except the dress had to look like the one in the Disney "Princess and the frog" film,- i had to google that !
Out came the promarkers 'cos i could nt find matching paper -Im quite pleased with it  i also used them to colour the little frog .I am going to enter this one in The latest challenge at cricut cardz  they have an open theme this week a long as you use your cricut , this is the first time i have entered one of their challenges - hope they like it !

Polkadoodles challenge no 12

 Happy friday ! I cant believe how quickly this week has gone , maybe because i've had all week off work - back tomorrow though :(

I have managed to catch up on some stuff , some of it boring like housework and children's homework projects but also on some card stuff too
here's my Polkadoodles DT card for this week's challenge-we had to use  a sketch and were restricted to using black and white and one other colour .As i rather like the purple butterfly on the BTN cd, this was my choice . Of course i had to make it as a step card as i'm a bit addicted to them at the mo '!
I could see the stripes on the sketch as the steps to my card  so i just added an embossed border in matching purple card . You can't see it very clearly in the sketch ,but there is added glitter on the wings and gems as the butterflies bodies

I'm gutted , i just realised that the deadline to apply for the  I love promarkers DT has passed , Now when i put things on my TO DO list ,I must 'nt forget to look at the list every day .
 I had just been so busy and now the month has nearly gone ,taking the deadline with it - Oh well there's always next time lol
I have joined in with their latest challenge which is to follow the sketch and have some sort of animal on it -( well mine's a chick but thats sort of an animal right ???)
It was such a cutie i could nt resist it !

I made it as an easel card using acetate as the background .

Since i just realised i have crossed two challenges for promarkers in the same card i am going to enter it in both !

Passion for promarkers  wants a spring theme and you have to include the animal i mentioned earlier !

sorry I ve been awol !

 What a week ! it has been absolutely crazy here , I ve redecorated the front room , been up to my eyeballs in card orders (im not complaining ) and a couple of full days at work - i''m really not used to those -lol ,so now i'm knackered !

Ive had baby Sam a few times too , he's just at the stage where he's just about to laugh - he has the biggest smile and the sound is  trying really hard to get there - any day now he will have mastered it  and theres nothing more enjoyable than listening to a baby laugh , I cant wait it will be a  real tonic.

As i have been so busy i did nt get round to my DT cards  but i did  manage to do these two New home cards , one in my new fave style card- the side step   I used some of my old Sizzix dies for the house , tree and grass  and paperdolls for the girl and her baby .
For the other one i dusted off the old cricut  , I needed a thatched cottage  and found one on the disney Happily ever after cart .The family i cut from paper dolls and the various animals from animal kingdom and campout .
The words i used SCAL2  for ,I love this program for cutting words it just makes it so easy and you can cut in any font you have installed -and i have hundreds lol- its much cheaper than carts

A FEW COMMISSIONS

 i was commissioned  to make a few cards for a lady who had had cards from me in the past, i  really like the side stepper cards that seem to be appearing everywhere so i decided to make all of these in the side step style , i hope she likes them

POLKADOODLE CHALLENGE NO 10 - MILESTONE

I had to make a large card for one of our guys at work for his 40 th  that was big enough for us all to sign , he loves making and decorating celebration cakes so this cake template on the paper boutique cd from Polkadoodles was perfect .
Even better still it fitted in with this weeks challenge at Polkadoodles  where Fliss has asked us to make a card for a milestone birthday .

I have got some printer issues at the moment and my colours are not printing very brightly so i used the black and white template and used scraps out of my box. All forty candles were cut on the cricut and coloured with promarkers. It took a while to put it all together but it was definitely worth it - he loved it !

Polkadoodle challenge no 9 wings and stamping

Happy friday everybody !,
I had a really horrible customer at work the other day who took great pleasure in shouting at me and humiliating me infront of other customers ,colleagues , my boss and area manager , this lasted for 20 minutes by which time i was a nervous wreck and could nt do the simplest of things ! i did nt get any back up from my boss other than her saying he was an a***hole after he had gone -thanks for nothing ,i had worked that one out already !
It's a gorgeous ,if not a little chilly day here today , i think spring is on its way ! so i am in a happy mood now :)
I have made a little easel card for the latest challenge at Polkadoodles, we want to see what you can come up with using a wings theme and a bit of stamping.I have used papers and toppers from the "sugar birdies cd " and i stamped a little sentiment along the bottom

Shape card challenge for polkadoodles

Polkadoodles are launching a fantastic new cd this week called Paper boutique . it has some fantastic shaped card templates and a scrumptious collection of papers . I have nt used the shape templates this time but i have used papers and decorative elements from the funky flowers collection . I made a few of the template cards as samples for the tv launch and i forgot to take pictures before i sent them off ! DURRR !
I cut the letter shapes with my cricut using SCAL2 and then cut out the card shape around them.
I had nt made one of these fold out name ones for ages , and seeing as its only 3 letters long it did nt take too long :)
