I have been a busy little bee this week

I have managed to get 6 cards made this week ! That's not many I know ,but for me it is loads,one was actually needed for a birthday but the others have all been just for fun -or rather for my stock so that I don't have to rush to make one every time someone in my family has a birthday !
This is a just for fun one ,made following the requirements for the I love promarkers challenge this week which is to make something spotty

I also made myself some new promarker storage using scrap card and lots of patience , sore finger tips and glue .I did nt realise how many pens I had until i had to make a space for each of them .I have made a few spare ready to glue together in the hope that I win the challenge prize from letraset !

A card for a challenge

This is actually my second card that I have made specifically for a card challenge,only I forgot to take a picture of the first one before I posted it out !
This is for the http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.co.uk/ challenge where they are asking you to use die cuts .I have used a Dustin Pike image and a marianne leaf die with a sizzix dragonfly .The dragonfly was also coloured with promarkers ,I love how the inks all blend together and give a rainbow effect when used on foil.

Odo Longfoot

Here is Odo Longfoot , he's a rather handsome troll
He nearly didn't make it ,after a disaster or two in the oven .He fell over the first time and he distorted his feet so I allowed him to cool before snapping them off and rebuilding him.Somebody forgot to remind me that he had gone back in the oven and he got a wee bit burnt .Unfortunately only the old original clay burnt and his new feet stayed pink .I wanted him to have a dirty appearance anyway ,after all who ever heard of a clean troll ? I used antiquing medium to colour his pink feet and a bit here and there and he is perfect- just how I wanted him

Ok ,now how do I do this ?

It has been almost a year since my last post ,and boy has it been a tough one.I have been a carer now for about 16 months and it is rather tiring .My husband goes to bed pretty early so it gives me the evenings to do my crafting .Trouble is I'm too blooming tired to do much.I have been suffering too with my neck and shoulder pain ,sciatica and also stomach ulcers .
I have decided that I can't let it get me down and I need to get on with some crafts. I am very lucky to have a craft room stacked with goodies so I am currently trying out lots of different things ,I particularly like using polymer clay and have made little dragons, trolls and jewellery .Sewing is something else I enjoy and I have made a few dolls and soft toys .Over the next few days I shall be adding some pictures of my creations as well as some of the cards that I have made in the last 11 months .I managed to make loads at Christmas for all my family and friends and forgot to take pictures of them all so nothing to post up .
I am also going to start joining in with the challenge blogs that i used to love so I will be posting on here more regularly -I promise !

A new baby card

I had a rough idea of the teddy  I wanted to use for this one but could nt find the right image ,so I drew my own ! I scanned it into my computer and then imported to my silhouette cameo library and made my own cut file I' m pretty pleased with how this came out .I am entering this into the ready-teddy -go challenge , I have nt entered a challenge for months now ,so wish me luck !

Happy Birthday Sam

It's been absolutely ages since my last blog post,and since it is my grandson's birthday today I thought I would get posting !
Here is the card I made for him,it is made both on my new silhouette cameo machine and my old Cricut machine .I am no longer such a fan of my Cricut ,I a prefer to make my own designs so the cameo is perfect .I am planning on getting back to making cards and other projects in the new year so if you want a card ,just give me plenty of notice

Just testing blogging from my iPad :)

This is a baby boy card mainly Cricut based. I love this teddy bear cut from the Christmas solutions cartridge and I opted for a non traditional colour scheme for this one to go with the vintage bear . Let's hope I have Sussed out how to post from this thing !

Hello again

It's been a very long time since my last post , but I have been really busy . I' m not complaining as it's a really nice feeling knowing that people love my cards and that they keep coming back for more . S nice things are going so well I have been very naughty and bought myself a lovely shiny IPad . If I get the hang of it I may even find time to post more regularly . Here is a cute card for a young lady who's favourite book is Roald Dahl's Matilda so I made this card in the style of the illustrator Quentin Blake

WHOOP WHOOP -I WON A PRIZE !

I entered this Valentine card into a  vintage card challenge over at craft creations ,As a previous winner there I had to enter into the winners category ,I was thrilled to see that I had won again !

Now I have £25 to spend in their store - I always use craft creations card stock as it is excellent quality and very reasonably priced-now if only I had waited another week before ordering nearly £40  worth of stuff  . . .

I made the easel card shape with SCAL on my cricut . the roses are a die The pearlescent paper was just perfect for making these they hold the shape so well , the key and locket were also dies and the words cut with SCAL too

I'm Back !

Hello , long time no see - I have been neglecting my blog and now I am back to it - I will try to keep  up to date with my cards .I try to take photos of all of my work but as they are usually for somebody who may see them on my facebook page or on here before they are meant to ,I try to hold back on posting them up .Then I forget about them !
Here is the card I made for my niece for her 21 st , her birthday was Thursday just gone so I'm ok to pop it on !

I used my beloved cricut machine for this one and Kate's ABC's cartridge .I cut two of the black out shapes and glued them together just at the top edge. decorated the front with the layers and voila ! a shaped card

Phew

I have just about managed to catch up on some card orders,I can't show them all  as some have n't been given out yet and I don't want to spoil any surprises
I still have a few tricky ones to do but I don't feel quite so pressured  now so the creative juices are flowing a bit more freely ,Here are a few  of this week's creations -

This one was a bit tricky , I had to watch a few episodes just to get which characters were which !I ended up drawing them and cutting them out freehand -two year olds can be very judgemental so I hope they are ok !

This is cut from my brand new favourite cricut cartridge -Paper Lace -the Names were cut using SCAL

I used SCAL for the bee ,and "Freshly picked" for the plant in pot  for this one -I just love that little bee !

Oooh and I nearly forgot about this one ,for my friend's daughter who is an obsessed Harrry Potter fan , I forgot to take a picture of this one before it went and thankfully she tagged me in it on her facebook page !

 I had n't made one of these for ages and had forgotten just how tough they are on the poor fingers to cut out -I did do one on the cricut with SCAL and the extra long mats but it was just too flimsy so i reverted to my own way -No pain no gain I suppose !

Lastly another new baby one -I love doing these ,Once again this is all cricut -(except for the punched lace ) I really love using this machine -it is so much fun .I hope you enjoyed looking at my  creations for this week -now i'm off for a quick game of scrabble or six :)

My last DT cards for a while

It is with great sadness that I have had to leave both of the DT's that I was on.I have been struggling with my commitments  for a little while as life has taken a tough turn for me . It means I can't spend as much time crafting as I would like .I don't want to let my faithful customers down  so those cards have to come before my design team ones.
I will still be blogging my projects but I wont have the pressure of having to work to a strict timetable -so if the MOJO goes AWOL it wont matter so much .

Here is my sketch which i designed for Willow sketchie challenge , It is quite a simple one and I'm not asking for anything extra  that you have to use , I just wanted something that anyone can join in with .We want to see more of your fabulous creations  as entries have been a bit low recently .

Glitter and Glitz

This week's challenge at I♥ promarkers  calls for glitter and glitz so it is perfect for your Christmas cards .
I was lucky enough to get the new range of Humphreys corner stamps  so I have used one of those.
As I am not a fan of loose glitter -it is far to messy ! ,I used this glittery wrapping paper that Ibought a couple of years ago , the shop was selling it off cheap as they had lots of returns because  it was too glittery for the sticky tape ! everybody's pressies were coming unwrapped !
I even dug the old peel offs out of the box at the back of the cupboard to hang my baubles from, they had nt seen the light of day for quite a while !

Willow Sketchie challenge time

It's rather damp here today but not particularly cold  but I bet it won't be long before I'm wishing I had a hat just like Walter's !

I think this has to be my favourite of all the fabulous designs on the new Walter and Winnie does Christmas cd from Willow designs -he must be I have used him an awful lot lately

I'm better now

Thankfully my tummy has returned to normal now although I was diasappointed to find that being poorly had nt helped my weight loss last week ,considering I had hardly eaten all week and then spent most of the week in the bathroom I only lost a pound  :( I was really hoping  for at least two pounds then I would have reached my first stone award - still there is always next week !

Here is my card for our Tag Challenge over at I ♥ promarkers  which is sponsored by Digi doodle shop I used  the all wrapped up image .I made the ribbon and bow from strips of paper coloured with Pms , I added the silver dots to it with  foil and quickie glue

Hello , long time no postie !

It seems like ages since I last posted , I have missed a couple of challenges that i design for -willow sketchie and i ♥ promarkers .Shortly after my mojo disappeared I managed to catch a tummy bug which left me really poorly all of last week , I have recovered now and have managed to catch up with  some of my blogging and cardmaking duties .
I did manage to see some of my cards on tv  last week , but mainly just fleeting glimpses of them ,I did manage to get a mention by Deano tho' so i 'm well happy !

I know it's late but here is my card for the I ♥ promarkers challenge I had made it before  I got too poorly

MOJO gone AWOL

I'm having one of those week's when nothing I make is right , It all seems to be rather lacking in the inspiration dept ,I have had several cards to make and I just sit there for ages looking into space ,hoping to spot my Mojo out there in the ether somewhere.
I had some stupid idea that moving my craft room round would help, but that was on  Tuesday and I still cant see the worktop for stuff that I have no space for .
I have been without my pc for a couple of days too because the leads did nt reach the socket -grrrrr ,I ve been using the little laptop but that's no good for blogging when the pictures you need are in the other PC !

Anyway ,thankfully I had made this one for Willow Sketchie Challenge before  I started on my mammoth removal mission .I have used "Winnie in earmuffs " from the fabby Walter and Winnie CD that is launching on create and craft tv on Monday !
I have made some samples so You may just get to see some of my cards on tv again - It is so exciting !!!

Autumnal colours

I really love the beautiful colours that come with the arrival of autumn , so I really enjoyed making this card for our I ♥ promarkers challenge  this week .The challenge is sponsored by Letraset so you could win some promarkers to add to your stash !

 I chose this Mo Manning image  to complement my falling leaves .The leaves are punched from white paper ,coloured with pms and then dusted with perfect pearls ,in rusty tones .
